About This Recipe

Agua fresca is a traditional Mexican beverage made by blending fresh fruits, water, and a touch of sweetness. It's light, hydrating, and perfect for hot summer days. One of the most delicious variations is the Mango Mojito Agua Fresca, which combines the tropical sweetness of mango with the zesty freshness of lime and the cool aroma of mint. This vibrant drink is incredibly easy to make and brings a taste of Mexico to your kitchen.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons sugar or honey (adjust to taste)
  • 8-10 fresh mint leaves
  • Ice cubes for serving
  • Lime slices and mint sprigs for garnish

Instructions

1

Blend the mango

Add the diced mango and cold water to a blender. Blend on high until completely smooth, about 30 seconds.

2

Strain the mixture

Pour the blended mango through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher to remove any fibrous bits. Stir in the lime juice and sugar until dissolved.

3

Muddle the mint

Gently muddle the mint leaves in the bottom of each glass to release their aromatic oils. Do not over-muddle as this can make the mint bitter.

4

Assemble and serve

Fill glasses with ice cubes. Pour the mango mixture over the ice. Garnish with lime slices and a sprig of fresh mint. Stir gently and serve immediately.
